Crystal Dawn Murphy, LCMHC, MACC, NCC

Crystal Dawn Murphy is the Founder/Owner of Journey To Thrive Christian Counseling.

A Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Crystal Dawn holds a Master’s Arts of Christian Counseling.

As a New York City transplant, Crystal Dawn loves Charlotte for its mild weather, its housing affordability, the sweet tea at every restaurant, and best of all meeting her husband of more than 10 years. An international traveler, Crystal Dawn loves laughing, reading, ethnic food, and walking in the Greenway.

Starting her career, in the anxiety-riddled arena of New York’s high finance, colleagues found in Crystal Dawn a safe haven to share both their concerns and dreams. She was regarded as a great listener, easy to talk to, with a great sense of humor. These skills led Crystal Dawn to her current role, where counseling is a collaborative journey. Allowing her clients to set the pace, together they chart the course toward new and existing values and goals. She is committed to assisting clients in bridging the gap between their painful experiences while lessening the feelings attached to those negative memories. Crystal Dawn’s strength-based approach builds confidence, and promotes growth and self-esteem so clients can move forward in life with an improved trajectory. She can also incorporate Christian principles, should the client desire.
